AMM 3D-Golf Motion Analysis Seminars
AMM now offers seminars to improve your knowledge of 3D Motion Capture and Analysis Techniques for the golf swing. The seminars are held at the AMM offices in sunny Phoenix, Arizona.
They include:
- TPI 3D Biomechanics Report Interpretation
- AMM 3D-Golf Motion Capture and Biofeedback Procedures
These are two one-day seminars presented by Phil Cheetham co-developer of TPI 3D and Stephen Cheetham co-owner of AMM, Inc. They can be taken together or separately; together they provide full training for AMM 3D-Golf system owners; separately they provide specific training in either motion capture techniques or TPI 3D report interpretation. The successful participant will receive AMM 3D-Golf Level 1 Certification.
TPI 3D Biomechanics Report Interpretation Seminar
This is a one day seminar designed for TPI Certified Golf Fitness Instructors. Whether you are Level 1, 2 or 3; medical, fitness or golf pro; if you want to be able to interpret and understand the 3D Biomechanics report produced by TPI 3D then this seminar is for you. The seminar is outlined below and on passing a brief test you will be certified as an:

Motion Analysis Specialist
Level 1
Introduction to TPI 3D Analyzer:
- Looking at swings in 3D
- Opening the Comparison Table
- Changing Databases
- Viewing Graphs and Layouts
- Generating Reports
- Sharing Swings with Others
The Kinematic Sequence:
- Learn the difference between efficiency and style
- Understand several analogies: Whip, Acrobat, Rocket Ship, Car Transmission
- See Acceleration Variations and their causes
- Learn the relationship to the Big 12 Swing Characteristics
The 3D Comprehensive Biomechanics Report:
- Kinematic Sequence - Backswing, Transition, Downswing
- The Joints and Joint Loading - Core, Shoulder, Wrist
- Trunk Dynamic Stability
- Dynamic Range of Motion
- Body Positions at Address, Top, Impact and Finish
- Tempo
- Interpretation of images, graphs and tables on each page
- Relationships to TPI Level 1 Screen
AMM 3D-Golf Motion Capture and Biofeedback Procedures
This is a one day seminar designed for AMM 3D-Golf system owners and anyone who wishes to learn how to capture golf swing motion using the AMM full-body 12-sensor electromagnetic motion capture system. Real-time biofeedback training techniques will also be taught. This is a hands-on seminar and each successful participant will setup and capture a golfer’s swing on the system. The seminar is outlined below and on passing the practical test you will be certified as an:

Motion Capture Specialist
Level 1
Overview of System Hardware and Software:
- Electromagnetic Tracking Technology, Transmitter and Sensors
- 6 degrees-of-freedom versus 3 degrees-of-freedom
- Sensor versus Anatomical Reference Frames
- Installing Hardware Driver Software and Connecting to Laptop
- Installing AMM 3D-Golf and TPI 3D
- 4, 8 and 12 Sensor Systems
Setting-up the Golfer and Capturing Swings:
- Attaching sensors
- Aligning the golfer by digitizing body points
- Capturing Multiple Swings
- Reviewing Simple and Advanced Graph Layouts
- The Kinematic Sequence Graph
- The Body Stability Graphs
- Displaying the Comparison Table
- Creating Various Types of TPI 3D Reports
- Comparing to PGA, LPGA and Champions Tour Databases
- Setting Up a Golfer Database
Real-Time Biofeedback:
- Visual Feedback
- Audio Feedback
- Positive versus Negative Tones
- Correcting the Big 12 Swing Faults with Biofeedback
For the AMM 3D-Golf System owners and purchasers it is essential that both days be taken to become:

Motion Biomechanics Specialist
